What Leira backs up, and what it doesn't.

We never claim a “complete backup.” Here is exactly what's covered, and the deliberate reasons some things aren't. The same breakdown is shown right inside the app.

DELIBERATELY EXCLUDED

• Orders

  Excluded by design: keeps Leira at Protected Customer Data Level 0/1, so your customers' personal data never touches our servers.

• Customers

  Same reason: no personal-data scopes means no data-protection review, no PII leaving the EU, and a smaller attack surface.

• Live inventory levels

  Rapidly-changing operational state, not store configuration. Restoring a stale count would do more harm than good.

• Image & file bodies

  We back up every file's record — name, alt text, dimensions and its Shopify link — but not the picture itself. If you delete a file in Shopify, that link dies with it.
